After our very exciting Tuesday, last week landed us with two boys with fevers, one who threw up (onto his bare-chested father, bless his heart), and lingering tiredness until the weekend. Fortunately for us all, I think we have recovered! We had to stop William’s eye medicine because he was sick, so we’ve just started it up again. While I was sad to have to stop it, I happened upon a picture of him from when he was little, and I was reminded of the ways that Jesus has already healed our boy. I am SO VERY GRATEFUL that W’s eye no longer looks like this! Just seeing this picture made me cry!
I had a wonderful Mother’s Day complete with breakfast in bed, snuggles from my babes (which is my very favorite thing!), a lovely lunch with my mom and my Nana, and a shopping trip to Target with one of my very best friends who was visiting from NYC, Allison! I’m realizing, though, that I have no pictures with my sweet children from today. How did that happen?!?
Anna Kathryn was very excited to catch up with her Nonna via video chat tonight!
Happy Mother’s Day, Nonna! And, as William said, “Happy Mother’s Day, Pop Pop!” ha ha!
And, lest I forget . . . Overheard:
Huds: Wee-yum! WEEE-YUM! Wake Up, WEE-YUM!! WEE-YUM REPPARD MURPHY, WAKE UP!
+++
William: Mommy, my belly button is cold!
+++
Boys: DADDY REPPARD, ME NEED HELP! DAD-DY REP-PARD!!
+++
William: Hi Baby Anna! Hi Precious! Hi Anna Jeffrey!
Me: You are William Jeffrey. She is Anna Kathryn!

Anna and I had a LOT of doctor’s visits together when she was battling ear infections. Now that William is on his medicine and we are upping the dosages, etc., I am having to take him to the doctor quite often. We think Hudson is picking up on the trend:
{Hudson thumping and slinking around the room.}
me: Hudson, are you okay?
Huds: No. Me sick. Me need go to doctor. Me go doctor, Mommy. ME SICK.
me: Where does it hurt Hudsey?
Huds: Here. {Sticks out tongue.} Here. and Dere. {General sweeping of his hands all over his body}. Me need doctor.

And, this conversation actually made my entire day. I was reading What Do People Do All Day? (it is one of our new favorites!) to Hudson last week (this is part of our Daddy-goes-to-work-every-weekday-so-please-don’t-cry-about-it-anymore plan), and our conversation went like this:
me: {reading} “What does your Daddy do?”
H: Daddy pick up poop.
me: Well, yes, he does do that sometimes. I’ll be sure to let him know that you said that!

And, well, I know there is at least one more that I am forgetting. But, my husband is asleep and if he wakes up and finds me with the computer in my lap, I will be in TROUBLE. Mother’s Day ends in 10 minutes, after all. So, with that: Good night, and THANK YOU to our MAMAS! We Love Y’all SO!!
