Lake “Nana” (Anna), Part 1

Each year, our sweet Nana takes the rowdy Murphy crew to Lake Anna.  We love it there and we have so much fun altogether!  The boys had a blast, despite the heat!  We have LOTS of pictures of our trip, so take a seat, enjoy, and stay tuned for more!

Bumpa’s Boat was the #1 hit at Lake Anna!

IMG_5232

Hudson and William have both learned to honk the horn on the boat and to scream “AHHH” when going under a bridge.  It is hilarious!  Be sure to ask William and Hudson about it when you see them!

IMG_5239

It should be noted that William’s first quasi-sentence was said last week.  The conversation went something like this:

Bumpa:  William, come snuggle with me!

William:  No ‘nuggle, Bumpa . . . BOAT!!!!

IMG_5245

{Please notice the bridge off in the distance . . . we road around in circles as to maximize our “Beep Beep, AHHH!!” time under the bridge!}

IMG_5247

The boys’ second favorite thing at Lake Anna was all of the FISH!  {This may be one of my favorite pictures of all time!}

IMG_5235

And, yes, they grabbed them with their bare hands!

IMG_5236

We also enjoyed watching other people catch fish, like Uncle Judah!

IMG_5255

hmmm, not too sure about this . . .

IMG_5258

I think I’ll touch it!

IMG_5259

Cousin Lukie caught some good ones, too!

IMG_5287

The dock had a screened porch, so we had lots of fun with the baby pool on the porch!

 IMG_5269 IMG_5270

Much to my dismay, Hudson drank lots of pool water

  IMG_5286

Mr. Precious ate some fish,

IMG_5263

{when he wasn’t snoozing!}          IMG_5252    And, William ate lots of chalk!

IMG_5326

IMG_5331

I got to ‘nuggle baby Charlie (because he is too young to tell me “no ‘nuggle!”)   IMG_5300

And, Uncle David, who has fondly been renamed “Uncle Bubbles” (thank you, William), taught the boys to have fun with the hose!

At this point in time, I would like to run a caption contest . . . If you are interested, go to our blog and at the bottom of this post, click on the blue “comment” link.  The best comment winner will receive something fun, from Hudson, or Chris Farley, or whoever he is . . .

Mr. Precious is here to STAY!

I think I’m having to come to grips with the fact that I am always a little behind when it comes to posting things . . . so, thanks for bearing with me!  Here are some fun happenings of late . . .

Guess who is here and HERE TO STAY!?!?!  We couldn’t be any more excited!  William woke up this morning asking for “Baby Char-wee”  . . . Oh, so sweet!

We attempted to get an updated cousins shot . . .

IMG_1443-1

but, it’s always quite a challenge!

IMG_1428-1

These boys are wiggle worms, but I think they are quite cute!

IMG_1430-1

I LOVE this one . . . Hudson is smooching Charlie’s head, and William is going for his toes!

IMG_1433-1

I’m not exactly sure what Mr. Hudson is up to here, but William is thrilled to be showing us Charlie’s tootsies!

IMG_1434-1

So sweet!

IMG_1424

We adore this little man!

IMG_1574-1

Due to the incredible heat here lately, we’ve started having snack-time inside.

IMG_1608-1

Also of late, Hudson is really into telling everyone “hi!” all. the. time! IMG_1609-1

Our big cousin, Jack, gave us his farm, and we carry our farm friends with us everywhere! IMG_1613

IMG_1618 IMG_1616-1

And, we continue to be very excited about watching Daddy “work, work, work” on the “decKKKKKKKK.”  In the morning when the boys ask for their Daddy, I have started to say that he is at work at the office—otherwise, they are convinced that they will find him at work in the back yard!

 IMG_1452

We love power tools around here! IMG_1454

And, I’ll leave you with some 7 month shots of Mr. Precious!

Happy Father’s Day!

Because tomorrow is Father’s Day and I do not anticipate being in front of the computer, I wanted to do a quick post to the boys’ Daddy. These babies ADORE their Daddy, they ask about him first thing every morning, we talk about him throughout the day every day (I seriously think that 85% of all conversations involve Daddy at some level), and we want to show him and tell him about all of our exciting happenings (seeing airplanes in the sky, riding by a truck on the highway, playing in the dirt and seeing a bird, etc.) When they realize their Daddy is coming home, they wait at the door or at the window calling his name and they RUN to him when they see him. Hatch is such a loving father and husband, and it is a complete joy to see the love that these boys have for their DaDa (or GaGee, as Hudson says) . . . it is unlike anything else I have seen.

Hatch, have a WONDERFUL Father’s Day, and enjoy using your Father’s Day saw on the deck! :)

Please excuse the blur . . . our scanner is lost in transition as we are preparing to move our boys’ room . . . so I took pictures of these pictures of Hatch from when he was one! Do you think he looks familiar?

Happy Father’s Day to Bumpa and Pop Pop, too. We love y’all!

Weekend Fun!

This past weekend, my love and I took a 2010 Birth-a-versary trip (7 years of marriage, 10 of dating plus!), and we had a wonderful time!

{Gotta love trying to take a picture of yourself at night!}

IMG_5205

This is the boys’ favorite picture of our trip . . . their dad in front of a tractor (truck!) while on a bicycle.  AMAZING!

IMG_5206

We visited a winery that boasted their crab races.  As kids, all of my cousins would have hermit crab races . . . that said, we never had a track as good as this one!

 IMG_5208

While we were away, the turkeys had a grand ole time with their Nonna, Pop Pop, and Aunt Courtney!

Little Rascal William with Pop Pop IMG_1805

And, the many faces of fun . . .

Cheese!

 IMG_1839 IMG_1844

The boys got to show Nonna and Pop Pop some of their very favorite places!

Home Depot, and of course, the HD “Truck”

They did some grocery shopping with Nonna at the Museum;

They played in the “river”;

And, Hudson did some banking!

Despite their busy schedules, they made some time for fun with bubbles . . .  IMG_1860 IMG_1861

Thanks, Nonna and Pop Pop and Aunt Courtney, for a great weekend!           IMG_1800
