O Tannenbaum!
I'm not sure if you know this about me, but I LOVE Christmas, and having a Christmas tree in our house is a HUGE deal to me. (Growing up we always had a fake tree--GASP!) Last year, I dragged my dad and my two brothers out with us (as I was enormously pregnant) to look at trees and to "assist" Hatch as we looked for the perfect pine. Each year, we sort through tree after tree to find the best one for us. (Usually, at the end of the sorting, we end up buying the first or second tree that we saw!) This year, we went at night (the day after Thanksgiving) and it was FREEZING. I'm sure the babies were wondering what, exactly, we were doing! Due to the increasing mobility, boldness, and lack of fear in our home, we decided to put the big tree on our screened porch (you can see her lights twinkle through the glass window) and we put a small tree in our dining room "up high, where no one can reach it" (except for Hudson, because he is tall and he stands on his tippy-toes and reaches with his fat, long fingers for it! Rascal!)
UMMMMMm . . . what is that? And, WHY are we here?
I do not like the way this feels.
Hatch really loves looking for Christmas trees, too. He gets all giddy and excited and he really tries hard to find the PERFECT pine. Can you tell he is really pumped up about this?

Hudson (this child refuses to keep a hat on his head! notice the red, COLD nose!)
OOPS.
SO, you mean to tell us that all fall, when we have shoveled leaves into our mouths, you NEVER ONCE mentioned that you would be bringing a LIVE tree into our home?? Amazing!
So, these are our children: Tiny Chris Farley and William
Little boys with little trees!
