for some reason, these pictures are in reverse chronological order . . . oh well!
this week has been just lovely. my littles and I have had a great time together this week—enjoying each other, enjoying the warmer temperatures, and enjoying what seems like a return to “normal.” despite the fact that our house is on the market, we didn’t have any showings during the week, so we are living life as we know it . . .
we spent our post-nap hours outside today. the boys climbed onto the bench daddy made on the deck to say cheese . . .
and, really, to SING another duet. I can’t remember what this one was about, but you can tell by the look on Hudson’s face that he is quite proud of himself! . . . their morning song was about being firemen and putting out fires “all day Yong” . . . hilarious!
We had a lunchtime picnic at the park with some friends, and it was just delightful. Anna had wondered off, and when we looked over at her, this is what we saw . . . OH MY HEART!
Yesterday afternoon, we had a family baking session and made some cookies and granola bars. Sister was delighted to dive into her tasty treats! (And, Nana, don’t worry, I’ll get the chocolate off of that adorable dress that you gave Annabug! She refuses to wear a bib these days—yanking and pulling if off like it is attacking her!)
Sissy Lou also really loves “Woo’ Woo.’” I know I keep mentioning that in my latest posts, but, you see, it’s true. She goes around the house all day long asking about him and searching for him.
Sometimes she has a search committee to help her by providing moral support and hugs . . .
Sometimes the search committee just gazes longingly out the window . . .
But, usually, it starts like this . . . Sister, on a step, watching and waiting for her doggie to appear out the window . . . (and, don’t think about relocating her until Woo’ Woo’ has made his appearance or a full blown fit will ensue!)
When I put the boys down for naps yesterday, I told them (like I do every. single. day.) that they needed to stay in their beds (w naps in my bed and H in his bed). I heard some noise and scurrying about, so I ran upstairs to find this non-napping duo. As soon as I walked into the room, William said “I stayed in my bed. Hudson got out of his bed!” Clearly, they were both involved in this little scheme! Sweet little rascals! (And, thankfully, they did nap . . . but, back in their separate spots!)
Despite the fact that we had a great week, I am still so excited that tomorrow is FRIDAY! Woo hoo!
