Auntie Katie has come!

Aunt Katie is back in town from California! We are so excited to have her here! She is helping us with "sleep camp" . . . we're trying to put the boys down earlier at night and see if they will still sleep until 7ish. So far, no luck! ha!

The boys wore their new outfits for Aunt Katie's arrival . . . don't they look so cute? (and big?)

Hudson and Will, our sweet boys!
Yesterday, we visited with Aunt Katie at Sugie's house. Mama and Will got to take a snooze and each boy had a very special time with Uncle Judah. Uncle Judah read his funny new book to each baby! (Don't let the Pigeon Stay up LATE!)

Found in the wilderness

Much to our dismay, the boys have started to outgrow their clothes! And with the hope of spring being around the corner, we decided we needed to put the boys in their bear suits. Below, we have documented the discovery of the rare species of blue bear. Enjoy :)
Will and Hudson . . . when we put them in their coats, they acted like they were stunned, and they were perfectly still. We were laughing so hard at them . . . Hudson heard us laughing and cracked a little smile himself!

Apparently, the bears are identified by their soft blue fur, chubby checks, and their desire to always be found in pairs . . . Will and Hudson, snoozing.

The difference 10 weeks (or so) makes . . .

We are so amazed at the difference that 10 weeks has made in the lives of our little ones. We are grateful for God's creation and how He continues to grow and provide for our babies. Here is the latest comparison of (roughly) 10 weeks . . .

14 weeks

24 weeks

34 Weeks

almost 36 Weeks

Here is the picture we promised of Hudson sucking on Will's head . . . ahh, brothers!

This picture is for all who are worried that Will can't open his eye because of his hemangioma . . . keep praying for the drops to work!

Update on Will's Eye (February 16, 2009)

We've just returned from seeing the pediatric opthomologist with Will. We have been using steriod eye drops in order to treat Will's hemangioma. The doctor is pleased that the drops have kept the hemangioma from growing over the last week, but she would like to see the hemangioma decrease in size. We will begin using the drops more frequently each day over the next two weeks. We will return for another check up in two weeks unless it grows despite the drops. My sense was that if the drops will reduce the size of the hemangioma, we will not need to have the little surgery; however, if it grows or stays this size, I think we may need to do the surgery. We will see. I will keep you posted on things. Our next appt is March 3. Please PRAY that the drops will continue to work and that the size of the hemangioma will DECREASE.

Also, in previous posts, we have asked for prayer for our friends Mary Elizabeth and Meade Stone who had identical twin boys almost 4 weeks ago and have been having seizures and problems since. Warren died last week, and John is not doing well. Please do pray for Jesus to RESTORE and HEAL John's body. Check their Caring Bridge Site for updates on John. I know they are so grateful and eager for people to join them in prayer. A miracle is needed.

Life as we know it! (February 15, 2009)

Here are some fun pictures from this week--the boys are now 10 weeks old:

Fun times with one mama (who only has two arms) and two screaming babies (thank you to whoever invented the sling!):

Snoozing on Daddy's lap . . . seems like the boys just like being close . . . contorted or not!

Ahhh, playing together (this was right after we found Hudson sucking on Will's head . . . we'll try to find that picture and post it later)
