Fishies go to the Petting Zoo!

Last week, we had a very fun visit from our good friends, Meghan, Molly, and Dorie.  They drove from Charlottesville to see us—what a treat!  We went to one of our favorite places, Maymont Park, to show off our animal sounds and to introduce Molly to the animals.

He was quite cute, but I’m fairly certain he would have liked us more if we had fed him!

And, then he helps himself to William’s last morsel . . . hmm, I promise we feed him!

Like our friends, William and Hudson have a new favorite place to sit and read and lazily gaze out the window!

The boys have made a habit of looking out the window into the backyard, because Daddy-the-builder and Bumpa-the-builder have been hard at work! Here is the progress from this past weekend! {I would have taken a picture of them standing on the stairs, looking out the window, and banging their tool toys on the glass, but I was afraid someone was going to fall! Safety first, you know!}

Sometimes, though, we have another reason to look out the window!

Mama’s sweet fishy

This boy is so sweet . . . I asked him to kiss me the other night, and after he did, he said “More!” and gave me another kiss! He kissed his daddy and me, saying “More!” after each kiss about five or six times, and then he kissed me and said “WUV YOU!” I thought I was going to melt! Oh, how I love him!

He also likes to say “More!” after we pray . . . so, this week he has been praying with us, saying “Thank You, Jesus . . . for Mama, . . . for Dada {big Grin!} . . . for WOO {will} . . . and for baby {big grin!} . . . AMEN!! “Woo” is also a big fan of saying “Amen” and he often does it throughout our prayers! Too cute!

I had to tempt the boys with their water cups and thoughts of running outside to get them away from the window . . .

They found a perfect spot to store their cups, which I thought was hilarious! They LOVE playing in the yard!

So, it seems that fishies really like water . . .

Memorial Day Weekend: Pop Pop, the Rivah, and a deck update!

Two Saturdays ago, we had an impromptu visit from Pop Pop! We were able to have dinner together and he joined us for our evening baby wrangling ritual (aka: putting on pjs!). The boys LOVED playing with their Pop Pop, and Sunday morning, William woke up asking for him! Too cute!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++On Sunday, we headed to Aunt Beth and Uncle Richard’s River House! We had SO much fun!

Hatch calls these outfits the boys “resort wear” {thank you, Aunt Katie!} . . . ha ha ha . . . they had done some playing in the pool and taken naps, so it was snack time!

I like to call this the snack train!

While we loved looking at the river, the main attraction this year was the “TRUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK!” The boys could not stay away!

. . . So, we took a family ride on the “truck!”

And, lastly, on Monday, our good friend, Kyle, helped Daddy and Bumpa (and Jonathan) begin work on the deck! Way to go, guys! So exciting! Our littlest builders watched with anticipation from the window!
