Dos Meses! (February 2, 2009)
Hudson and William turned two months old last Tuesday (2/2/09)! Hudson now weighs 11lbs and is 23 1/4 in. long and Will weighs 10lbs and is 21 1/4 long! They are getting big!

Keeping the Faith . . .
This week has been a little rough, so we wanted to write and ask for y'all to continue in prayer for two things:
As we mentioned in an earlier post, our friends Mary Elizabeth and Meade Stone had identical twin boys in VA Beach about three weeks ago. Both boys have been in the NICU with seizures and recently moved to the Children's Hospital for Kings Daughters. Early Monday morning, their son Warren went to be with Jesus. They still do not know the cause of the seizures. Please pray for Jesus to be the peace of Mary Elizabeth and Meade as they mourn and grieve the loss of their little one. Please also pray for quick and complete healing for Warren's twin brother, John. You can read more about this family on their Caring Bridge site by clicking here. I would encourage you, if you desire, to sign their guestbook and let them know you are praying with and for them. We are just heartbroken for them, and continuing in prayer . . . please pray with us!
Please also pray for our little Will's eye. Will has a cavernous hemangioma, which is a malformation of his blood vessels, under his left eye. We have seen a pediatric opthomologist twice now (who is great) and we are continuing to keep a close watch on it. This week, we saw the doctor because the hemangioma has grown significantly over the last two weeks. We are trying steriod drops to reduce the size of the growth, but if they do not work, the doctors will check for a tumor (because of the "agressive nature" of the growth . . . but, they said that at this point they do not have any reason to believe it is tumourous) and possibly procede with surgery . . . which could involve both steriods, anesthesia, and CAT scans. The hemangioma will likely reduce in size after Will is a year old, but we want to keep it from growing larger so that it does not impair his vision in his left eye. It is not painful for him, but it does look awful (much like a black eye!) Please pray for God to provide the following for little Will: for the steriod drops to work and stop the growth, for there to be no tumor present, and for preservation of Will's sight.

Girls!
Will and Hudson met two of their new little girlfriends this past weekend . . .
It seems that Will really liked being snuggled up next to sweet Sylvie!
Hudson, Will and Sylvie all had the same due date, but Hudson and Will came 4 weeks early and Sylvie came 1 week late! Aren't they cute? This was our first play date! Fun times ahead!
Our friends Lindsey, Daniel and Addie came for a Superbowl Visit. Here's a shot of the 3 babies . . . Addie is beautiful and so cute! (Hudson seems especially thrilled in this picture)
Somehow the moms managed to dodge the photoshoot (despite our looking awesome), but here are the babies and the dads . . . Hatch and Daniel led YL together in Charlottesville . . . oh, how things have changed!

Please pray for our friends!
Hudson and Will's first set of boy/boy twin friends, John and Warren, were born last week to our friends Mary Elizabeth (who went to UVA with us) and Meade Stone! John and Warren are beautiful identical twins who after a healthy arrival were sent to the NICU for some breathing problems and seizures. They are looking into possible metabolic/genetic diseases that the boys may have . . . please join our family in praying for Jesus to heal John and Warren; for Jesus to give peace and strength and rest to Mary Elizabeth and Meade; and, for wisdom for the doctors and team caring for this family.

Things that make you smile . . . January 25, 2009
Both boys are starting to smile a lot more, which is very fun! Hudson is a little freer with his smiles and Will is harder to catch! Here are some smiles that we caught on film:

To each his own!
We are beginning to notice the little changes in each of the boys. Here are some things we are seeing . . .
Hudson's hair is remarkably strawberry! We're not sure where the red locks came from, but he sure looks sweet!
Will's eyelashes have sprouted overnight! Seems like he has his dad's and grandfather's long lashes! (He also has somewhat of a black eye!)
I thought this picture of the boys sleeping in their crib was cute. Will loves having his arms and hands up when he sleeps, and Hudson is more all-over-the-place (like his mom!)
