Anna Kathryn is 3 Months Old!
I can hardly believe that our Little Miss is already 3 months old! She is such a sweet baby, and we are all just crazy about her! This last month has been such fun as we have watched Miss Anna grow and change! She is very chatty these days and loves to watch her fans (her brothers and her parents, of course) as they walk around the room. Anna is quite tickle-ish and has started to giggle when we go to change her into her jammies . . . it is the most incredible sound! We just love hearing her sweet belly laughs!
Little love sleeps right next to me in her bassinette, and I love having her so close to me. In the morning, I feed her in bed, and then we snuggle while I try to muster my energy for the day. Snuggling with Little Miss first thing each morning is one of my most cherished moments of my life thus far. I adore this time together! (even if her brothers are screaming at us from the other room!) And, the other day, we both popped open our eyes because we heard a loud noise (a toy being rocket-launched out of one of her brothers’ beds), and when I looked over at her, she gave me the biggest grin! Oh, how sweet! I cannot think of a better way to start my morning!
Recently, Anna Kathryn has really developed a love for her mobile! My Aunt Mary insisted on my boys having a mobile, and they ADORED it. Of course, we had to have one for Little Miss, too! She loves to look at her flying friends, talk to them, and smile. It is precious!
Anna is well taken care of . . . her brothers do not let her make a peep without checking on her or calling it to our attention. They adore her! When they talk to her, the cock their heads to the side and speak in a really high-pitched voice. It is hysterical! We’re working on learning about personal space! They are quick to bring Anna her paci if they see one lying around, and they are so helpful with bringing me diapers, putting her bottles in the sink, and helping me find socks that pop off her tiny feet! Their kisses are unmatched and usually unpredicted . . . both Hudson and William are sweet big brothers!
Anna’s friends: her sweet tweets!
What a sweet face! I love her lashes!
We also try for some tummy time, you know. Anna B loves it most when she can look at her Daddy while on her tummy! {please excuse the blur on this next one!}
And, Auntie Katie came over and took a few pictures of her namesake with her mama . . . I am so thankful to have these sweet pictures! Sugie and I have decided that Anna’s nursery is our favorite room in the house . . . it is so peaceful, I love thinking about everyone who helped put her little nursery together, and I love how the sun shines into her room. Too bad she’ll never sleep in there since I insist on having her with me at all times! {just kidding, mom!} :)
And, a review . . . .
Oh, my love! Nighty night!

Night Snow (play) ing!
Anyone remember these days? I am pretty sure that I was much more sleep deprived than I am now . . .
I was starting to feel odd having one hand free when caring for the baby, so I borrowed Anna’s dearest friend, Booker (fondly known by my boys as Da Book-ah) for some snugs while his mama and sis played in the snow! Mr. Booker and Anna Kathryn were born the very same week! They are the twins on our block for 2010!
Someone(s) had been inside too many days due to the weather, so we put on our gear for some night Snow Playing with Daddy. The gear was a teensy bit small . . . and the boys didn’t know the fun they were about to have, so some of us were a little sad. {Please note the snow gear with the Elmo magnadoodle in hand. Why go anywhere without it?}
William, busy building his empire. Hysterical!
RUN, MOMMY! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!
Ready!
Nonna was here lending a hand and laughing outloud at the boys in their snow suits . . . we had to cram them into them, but boy am I glad that Sugie and I picked them up at a consignment sale this fall. Well worth it in my book! Little Miss was clearly unfazed by all of the mayhem!
Mommy had had a long day and was glad to be outside, too!
Please note Nonna and Anna peering out the window!
These boys loved the snow and they stayed to play much longer than any of us expected! William asked to come inside first . . . we’re pretty sure that Hudson would have slept out there if we’d let him!
I love Hatch and William’s expressions in this one! So sweet—they love playing with their Daddy!
Back inside, they decided to rearrange our snowmen . . .
. . . and find Goldbug with Nonna! She makes life with these three look EASY! (it’s not!)
impromptu baby smooch mid-book-reading!
Thank you, Nonna, for your tireless efforts with us all!
And, yes, we let our child play in the snow in his john john and knee socks . . . well, I’ll say this: we could not STOP him from playing in the snow. I love this picture. It just reminds me of how much of a BOY he is . . . and it makes me think of my brother Christopher automatically pouncing into puddles everytime he saw even a tiny pool forming. I love it!
AND, before I forget . . .
RECENTLY HEARD:
{unfortunately for me, I hear this all too often}
“UM, Love, I think you have snot/blood/milk/spit-up/poop on your pants/shirt/face/hand/hair”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mommy: UH OH
William: What happen’ Mommy?
Mommy: Your bib just dripped milk down my leg and into my shoe.
William: I clean it, Mommy. I clean it.
{Oh, my heart!}
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Anytime you ask Hudson a question, he will look off in thought and say “Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm” before answering. It is adorable!
Mommy: “Hudson, would you like peanut butter and jelly for lunch?”
Hudson: “UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, No, Mommy! Cheese Toast!”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
{The boys knew Sugie was coming to lend a hand in the chaos, so this was our conversation}
Hudson: “Goo-gee comin, Mommy?
Mommy: “Yes, Sugie will meet us at home”
Hudson: “Goo-gee eat, Mommy?”
Mommy: “Yes, Sugie will eat with us and {thank the Lord} help us eat our lunch, too. What do you think Sugie will eat?”
Hudson: “UMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Yogurt.”
“and, Apples.”
William: “And blueberries!”
AND: they were right! :)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
William is recently into making up words and sounds as part of an effort to prove his hilarity. He keeps talking about “drill bits and O-bits” and he goes through names of things in such a funny way . . . “Hi Baby Anna! Hi Anna Banana! Hi Ann Banan! Hi Baby Ann!”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hudson: “Mommy! SHHH! Roomba s’eepin’!”
{Roomba is our robot vacuum thing that always, in my mind, fails to deliver on cleaning my house like Rosie from the Jetsons}
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And, in the world of TWOS {and, yes, many of these things are YELLED!}:
“I DO IT”
“THAT MINES!! MINES!!”
“MY TURN!”
“ME ALL DONE!”
“NO WEE-YUM!”
{This is a mockery of us counting to 3 in order to try to get them to stop doing whatever crazy thing they are doing} “1-4-3 STOP! NOW! STOOOOP!”
“I go tell him ‘No,’ Mommy.” {fast walking across the room to his brother} “HUDSEY. NO!” {wagging finger in air} “NO HUDSEY! NO!”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And, Hatch’s favorite:
“Do not put ‘tiny man’ in your diaper. That is gross” “GWOSS.” “yes, gross!”
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My friend, Lisa, to me: “Do they always talk this much, or is it just because I am here?”
NIGHTY NIGHT!
