Night!

Little Miss has found her hands.  And, OH they are SO SWEET!  She seems to think they are made of the sweetest of sugars {although I much prefer the paci!}  She also giggles every time we change her clothes {which is rather frequent because she has a tiny drooling habit}, and she even giggles in her sleep! Ah!  I love it! She is such a sweet baby!  Today, William addressed her as “Baby, Baby!”  “Baby Anna”  “Anna Kathryn" and “Anna Kaffff” all in the course of an hour.  This little love is going to have quite a selection of names!IMG_3389

The boys are increasingly hilarious and ever so busy!  They are quite 2 these days and have been showing off their determination and willfulness this past week!  Everything is an adventure around here!

IMG_3219

We may still be learning what “gentle” means . . .  IMG_3221 IMG_3226

{A note about the paci:  He chewed through his last one, and I refuse to buy more, so he is using one of his from when he was a baby.  Every single day we talk about giving our pacis to baby Booker across the street.  I think I may be more attached to peaceful sleep than they are to pacis, so I don’t see this change happening anytime soon . . . } IMG_3231

Sleepy boy! IMG_3236 IMG_3239 IMG_3243 IMG_3244

Every night before bed, we sing and snuggle our little loves.  Usually I get to snuggle in the rocker because I have Little Bug with me, too.  They love to sing “Holy Holy Holy” which sounds like “O-D, O-D, O-D,” “All Creatures of our God and King,” and a song we made up about rocking at night.  They’ve also joined forces and insist on having their blankies cover their toes “BLANKIE ON TOES, MOMMY!,” despite the fact they wear footie pajamas . . . and, they insist on having their random animals “tucked in” to their blankie as well.  Hudson is especially fond of a squirrel-like thing that Nana gave him which he now calls “Moxy.”  They are hilarious, and so precious! IMG_3251

And, most mornings, I wake to Hudson yelling at William as part of an effort to awaken his playmate:  “Wake UP WEE-YUM!  WEEEEEEEE-YUM!  WAKE UPPPPPPPPPPPP!”  William often rotates singing the “CDCs” (ABCs), “Happy Birthday,” and “Twinkle, Twinkle” in the morning.  And, Little Bug, wakes up each morning with a big ole grin . . . a trait that she did not pick up from either of her parents!  Although, seeing her grin makes for a great start to any wild day ahead!

Lest I forget . . .

So, having three small children may get the best of me . . .

Yesterday, I discovered after being home for several hours that I had left my keys in the front door.  Awesome.

****

Today, I was singing while changing diapers, and this is what happened:

I sang “the diapers on the bus go Swish, swish, swish!”

William said “Diapers on the bus, Mommy?”

I said “no, it’s wipers!”  {gently correcting my child as all loving mothers do!}

William said “YOU SAID DIAPERS, MOMMY!” {MOMMY IS CRAZY!}

I said “Oh, I SAID DIAPERS?  I may be losing my MIND!”

hilarious!

****

Because we love to spend time together as a family on Saturday, we found a new park with a Nature Center to take the boys to a few weeks back.  I neglected to post the pics, so here they are . . .

And, William has asked EVERY DAY SINCE when we can go back to see the fishies!  It was SO COLD the day that we went, I was sure my hands were going to fall off . . . amazingly, the boys didn’t seem to notice!IMG_7092-2IMG_7094-2

I’m not exactly sure what they are looking at, but there were many snakes, turtles, and fish, and it was quite fun!IMG_7096-2   IMG_7093-1

Little Bug joined us, too, but she mainly stayed bundled and just listened to the sounds (there is a bird noise exhibit that was a big hit due to all of the many buttons!)

IMG_7091

And, before I forget, a few things that were left off of the “overheard” post:

Me:  “Whose waffle is this on top of the piano?”

****

Boys:  “Mommy, I want beer.”

Mommy:  “No.  That is Daddy’s juice.”

{Is that a lie?  Hmm.  I think not . . . right, MA?}

****

Today, at breakfast, I was speaking sternly to Hudson about his behavior, and William repeated EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. that I said to his brother.  It was a crystal clear echo.  I tried really hard not to laugh, but I could not help myself.  Hudson and I both started cackling!  Oh, my!  These boys!

****

And, some definitions:

Yook:  Look

Gheeps:  Grapes

Tunnel:  The underneath part or hole of any table/chair/desk/furniture into which a cup, spoon, or toy could reside.  {frequently used in this way:  “Do not put your feet on the table.  Please put them in the tunnel.”}

Fick-Fla-Flay:  Chick Fil A, of course

Chicken Hotdog:  This could be chicken, hot dog, corn dog, chicken nugget, or anything small and fried that looks like these things {I have 3 children under 2.5.  Please do not judge me on their diet!  If you have food ideas, SEND THEM.  PLEASE!  Also, know that we will never turn down a meal that shows up at our door.  You can ask our neighbors about this.  The boys think that our family gets food from the grocery store and our neighbor’s house!}

Pizza Cracker:  My attempt to say that our pasta dinner tastes like a “pizza cracker” so that William would eat it.  He did not.  He just kept looking at me with big eyes and speaking loudly and clearly, he repeatedly said “I WANT A CRACKER!  CRACKER, MOMMY!”  Hatch was dying laughing.  I am horrible at convincing them to eat real food.

****

I am horribly behind on Christmas pictures (STILL!) and a birthday bash that cannot go without mentioning . . . so, keep on being patient, and maybe one day I’ll get caught up!  In the meantime, I’ll just keep singing the wrong words to children’s songs and let my 2 year olds correct me!

overheard . . .

william:  “Mama!  It’s soaking AND wet!”

****************************************

hudson:  “oh myyy gooooodnESS!”

****************************************

aunt katie:  “William, what do you think of my new house?”

william:  “ummmmmmmm, I’m not sure . . . “

{mama laughing hysterically}

****************************************

anytime he falls, drops something, etc.:

hudson:  “OH DOODLE!”

****************************************

hudson:  “me all done!”  {while thumping himself in the chest}

****************************************

“MINES!”

“I FIRST!  I FIRST!”

****************************************

William: “ooooh!!  Baby Anna lookin’ at me!  Baby Anna talkin’ at me! ooooohhhh!!”

****************************************

Mama: “Who is it that needs a new diaper?”

Hudson: “Wee-yum.  Wee-yum’s turn, Mommy.”

{or, if baby charlie is around, he gets all the dirty diaper blame!  poor baby!}

****************************************

Boys:  “Where baby Anna?  What Anna doin’?”

Mama:  “Sleeping.  Please do not bother her.”

William:  “I check her, Mama!  I CHECK HER!”  {YELLING and running toward her!}

Hudson:  “SHHHHHHH!  BABY ANNA SLEEPIN’!” {YELLING!}

Baby Anna:  “WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”  {Crying!}

****************************************

Boys to Daddy:  “Daddy, I sneakin’ you!”

Or about each other:  “I sneak on him!”

And, in the words of our new favorite book . . . we’re off to make this the napping house “where everyone is sleeping!”

lately . . .

I’m feeling a tad behind in terms of the blogging world, so I am sorry about that!  Real life has taken over . . . and, I’ll say this:  it is crazy around here.  Really crazy.  BUT, it is the BEST kind of crazy (most of the time!)

I have a ton from Christmas (eek!) and January to catch up on, but here are some recent Reppard happenings . . .

Tonight we continued our celebration of Christmas in February (Nonna and Pop Pop sent amazing stools for the boys last week for Christmas—what a hit!  Christmas gifts that didn’t ship until January!  WE LOVED THAT!  And, of course, the box was well loved!) . . . tonight, we continued with a picnic table from Sugs and “Bumpy” as the boys are now calling him!

IMG_7174

Boxes!  I spy someone in the way back of that box, do you?IMG_7175

This week is hair cut week.  We started with Daddy’s hair on Saturday but somehow don’t have pictures of that fun time.  The boys were up for their turn last night!

before!  this rascal kept telling me it tickled him every time I would go to cut his hair!  for the record, cutting two wiggly two year old boys’ hair is not really my idea of a fun time . . . but they did a great job. . . daddy’s lap plus elmo on tv equals a little bit of a calmer audience!

IMG_7150

after!  what a charmer!

IMG_7154

and, blondie!

IMG_7156

William kept saying “My hair looks nice, Mommy!  looks nice!”  Hilarious!

Seeing this picture of William without his glasses reminds me that I forgot to give an update:  We went to the pediatric ophthalmologist last week and she said his hemangioma is “beautiful.”  I think it’s a bit of an oxymoron myself, but I am grateful that she is so thrilled with the progress he is making.  The hemangioma continues to decrease in size, lighten in color, and it is not blocking his vision at all.  Praise God!  Please continue to pray with us for Jesus to FULLY heal our little man’s eye! A few weeks ago, we had some bad weather, so we decided to do some snow-themed art!

William’s masterpiece!IMG_6989-2

Ready for something!? IMG_6990-2

The boys had a great time gluing their “snowballs” onto their snowmen.  It was so fun!

IMG_6994-1 IMG_6996-2

Dinnertime is more of a challenge around here than it has ever been.  Lately, the boys have been helping me “make” dinner.  This looks differently each day, but our favorite hands-on project of late has been making pizza!  Here they are hard at work!

 IMG_7003-1

A little mouse got hungry and took a bite out of the crust . . . oopsie! IMG_7004-2 IMG_7010-2

Little Miss Anna Kate had her doubts about whether this was actually a good idea . . .

IMG_7012-2 IMG_7017-2

The end result . . .  IMG_7018

Yummers!  {Please excuse our lack of manners!}  IMG_7023

YAAAAAAAAAY!  PIZZZZZZZZZZZZZA!

Anna Kathryn is 3 Months Old!

I can hardly believe that our Little Miss is already 3 months old!  She is such a sweet baby, and we are all just crazy about her!  This last month has been such fun as we have watched Miss Anna grow and change!  She is very chatty these days and loves to watch her fans (her brothers and her parents, of course) as they walk around the room.  Anna is quite tickle-ish and has started to giggle when we go to change her into her jammies . . . it is the most incredible sound!  We just love hearing her sweet belly laughs!  IMG_2841

Little love sleeps right next to me in her bassinette, and I love having her so close to me.  In the morning, I feed her in bed, and then we snuggle while I try to muster my energy for the day.  Snuggling with Little Miss first thing each morning is one of my most cherished moments of my life thus far.  I adore this time together!  (even if her brothers are screaming at us from the other room!)  And, the other day, we both popped open our eyes because we heard a loud noise (a toy being rocket-launched out of one of her brothers’ beds), and when I looked over at her, she gave me the biggest grin!  Oh, how sweet!  I cannot think of a better way to start my morning!

IMG_2834

Recently, Anna Kathryn has really developed a love for her mobile!  My Aunt Mary insisted on my boys having a mobile, and they ADORED it.  Of course, we had to have one for Little Miss, too!  She loves to look at her flying friends, talk to them, and smile.  It is precious!

 IMG_2689IMG_2688 IMG_2696 IMG_2697

Anna is well taken care of . . . her brothers do not let her make a peep without checking on her or calling it to our attention.  They adore her!  When they talk to her, the cock their heads to the side and speak in a really high-pitched voice.  It is hysterical!  We’re working on learning about personal space!  They are quick to bring Anna her paci if they see one lying around, and they are so helpful with bringing me diapers, putting her bottles in the sink, and helping me find socks that pop off her tiny feet!  Their kisses are unmatched and usually unpredicted . . . both Hudson and William are sweet big brothers!IMG_2766  IMG_2769

Anna’s friends:  her sweet tweets! IMG_2814 IMG_2815 IMG_2821

What a sweet face!  I love her lashes!

IMG_2825 IMG_2830 IMG_2832 IMG_2836 IMG_2838 IMG_2840

We also try for some tummy time, you know.  Anna B loves it most when she can look at her Daddy while on her tummy!  {please excuse the blur on this next one!} IMG_2937 IMG_2939

And, Auntie Katie came over and took a few pictures of her namesake with her mama . . . I am so thankful to have these sweet pictures!  Sugie and I have decided that Anna’s nursery is our favorite room in the house . . . it is so peaceful, I love thinking about everyone who helped put her little nursery together, and I love how the sun shines into her room.  Too bad she’ll never sleep in there since I insist on having her with me at all times!  {just kidding, mom!} :)IMG_2985IMG_2948  IMG_2953 IMG_2962 IMG_2970 IMG_2980 IMG_2981  And, a review . . . .
