Pause . . .

I would like to take a second to interrupt my delay in putting up Christmas pictures to give a real life update:
Yesterday, my little nephew Charlie went back to California, and I am very, very sad. William and Hudson want their newest, tiny friend to come back!

Secondly, after MUCH badgering from Uncle Christopher and a few others (who will go nameless), I gave the boys a teensy trim last night. It is wild to me that our boys are old enough (and have enough hair!) to even need a trim!

More soon . . . I promise. (Yes, Allison, I am talking to you.)

William post-trim
Yes, I am one of those weird people who is keeping a tiny bit of my babies' hair!
Hudson: Before (the boys sat on Daddy's lap for the trim!)
And: After

While one baby was having his hair cut, the other baby played with Uncle J!

A peering William
Both Babes were fascinated by Judah and his book
Hudson taking a closer look!

I see you!
After the haircuts, it was bath time!
Sharky!
HMM!
We have crazy hairs!
This was our best attempt at family reading time--we were reading our new book Good Night San Francisco and talking about all of the fun places that baby Charlie can go to see! (thanks to Uncle Judah for taking the pictures!)
William was very excited
Hudson wanted to snuggle/push off of mommy
And, then, so did William . . .
GOOD NIGHT to YOU! {In keeping with our Good Night San Francisco theme, would you take a second to click on the "Comment" link below this sentence and leave us a note telling us where YOU are from?!?}

Pre-Christmas FUN!

I somehow neglected to inform you of some very FUN activities that we had prior to Christmas . . . here's a quick catch up on our last week!

Like most of Virginia, we got some SNOW here in Richmond the weekend before Christmas. It was such fun to have a snow day with daddy home! The boys were not huge fans of the cold, wet, white (and it was too deep for our crawling rascals) so we don't have many pics to show in the snow . . . but here's what we've got!

Our winter wonderland
Outside with Charlie and Uncle Brett's awesome snow man!
The boys are LOVING their nativity set! Here they are in action...

Hudson {I like to call this series Breakfast with Baby Jesus}
And our little lamb . . . William This next series of shots is called Operation Destruction . . . William "reading" HMMMMMMMMMMM . . . .
Can you see what this little monkey is standing on? (not one, but TWO boxes of books) To celebrate the snow, we had a snow party at Sugie and Bumpa's and we had fun with baby Charlie! We threw a Sip and See the next day in honor of him!

Guess what our little rascal has done to sweet baby Charlie . . . OH, William!
Santa's helpers! We sipped and we saw . . . and we got to snuggle Charlie, too!
Charlie and his beautiful mama! Apparently, Hudson's date to the Sip and See was our friend Natalie (they played together FOREVER) I love my baby nephew! These two are T.R.O.U.B.L.E.! Peek a boo! (from Sugie's sun room to the kitchen)

Both of our boys really love Charlie--they smile and "talk" to him when they see him. It is so cute! William has an especially strong interest in the little babe . . . we are having to "redirect" his loving, chubby {dirty!} fingers each day! Did you just interrupt my dinner for a picture? Can anyone guess what this baby ate for dinner? Our grandmother, Granny Ann, used to have all of us crazy grandchildren over to her house for a huge Christmas cookie baking party. When she passed away, our Aunt Valerie proudly began to carry on the tradition. We had to reschedule due to snow, but here are a few pics of the fun . . . {We missed you Tall Timmy!}

Yes, this is the kind of "cookie" {ie: unedible} that my family tends to make!
William with his Auntie Kate
Cousin Shawn Thomas (age 2 1/2) "picking up baby Hudson" {note: "baby Hudson" is about as big as Mr. Shawn Thomas!}
A new way to play Jingle Bells . . .
Hudson checking out the beautiful stainless mirror?? fridge? FRIDGE! (a new Hudson fave, for sure!)
William playing "peek a boo" with Uncle Richard!

Crazy Elf!

The sweet note on the card from cousin Jack (age 5) to cousin Shawn Thomas (2 1/2)
"to shawn thomas . . . merry christmas . . . have a merry christmas shawn thomas . . . i love shawn thomas, I love shawn thomas!"
