Sandbridge: Part I

{warning:  this is long.  grab a seat.}

In June, my Dad’s side of the family took a trip to Sandbridge, and we had a great time!  We made the big mistake of telling the boys a day in advance that we were going to the beach.  The morning that we left for vacation, Hudson was screaming and crying that he needed to go to the beach right now!  Patience is not part of our daily routine quite yet!  We made it in one piece, and we loved being together with our family for a few days in the sun, sand, and “big pool-tiny pool” at our house!

I love these boys of mine . . .

Sister took several naps by the pool or on the beach . . . I loved it!  Check out these lashes!IMG_6895IMG_6944

We had a fantastic house with a great layout, and the boys loved the big tub in our room.  It got a lot of use from these tiny people!

Little Miss was quite the beach bunny!

IMG_6917IMG_6923

There was much digging to be done, of course!

IMG_6932IMG_6933IMG_6934

And, some snacking, too.  This boy loves his peaches!

IMG_6942IMG_6947

The boys had a great time with Uncle J!

hold onto your cheeks, more to come!

Last week: randoms and a date

Well, we recovered well from William being stuck in the bathroom the other day.  He lives (and loves) to tell of his day of trauma, adventure, and rescue by his Daddy.

Here, the tiny adventurer poses in the Children’s Farm at the Museum (please excuse the random man/father pictured in the background).

The above picture (William lacking a female counterpart) is one tiny example of why Harper should move back here.  These two turkeys played together at the museum in May of last year . . . Babies!

One morning this week, while I was getting food for someone from the kitchen for breakfast, I went back into the dining room and found Hudson missing.  This is where I found him:  on the bench reading one of Miss Jenny Bunny’s books about giving up diapers and/or pacis! Me readin’, Mommy!  Me readin’ Miss Jenn’s book.  Me YIKE it.  Me no need Yunch. (or breakfast.  whatever.)

Heyyy, Sister!

We have seen Mr. P more these last two weeks because he has been on vacation from school, which we love!  He came over the other day to visit Hatch, Hatch, Hudsey, Hudsey, and Baby.  He was a little sad that his favorite Hatch was not here (instead, he found me), but he was THRILLED to play with Hudsey, Hudsey and Baby!  He and the two Hudseys played grocery store.  It appears that Charlie was in charge of bagging the groceries!

Despite the fact that I am no longer his favorite (I used to be his favorite.  See below!) and that he has only said my name two times in his entire life . . .

he knows me well enough that he does not dare refuse my smooches, and this makes me very, very happy.

And, I had quite the treat the other day when I popped by my good friend’s house.  Her little love was refusing to nap and since Uncle J was at my house with my three sleeping chickens, I took my little friend Booker shopping with me!  He is so precious and it was so much fun to have a little date with him.  He was born just a few days after Anna, you know, so I feel like he’s mine (even though I know he’s not . . .)  I LOVED IT! photo(30)
